Field Safety Technician

 The George E. Booth Co. is a family-owned and operated industrial automation sales company looking to hire a full-time Field Safety Technician.

Booth Co. is a major distributor of process instrumentation products, controls, and related services to customers in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, and Tennessee.  Founded in 1963, George E. Booth Sr. recognized that there would be a natural evolution in the development of products for the industrial instrumentation process field.

This hands-on role is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic field environment, enjoys educating others, and takes pride in enforcing safety standards across various job sites.

Key Responsibilities:

Enforce Safety Rules: Monitor and enforce company and regulatory safety rules at various job sites.

Conduct Site Inspections: Perform regular safety inspections and audits at field locations.

Data Collection: Gather, record, and report safety data, incidents, and compliance metrics.

Incident Response: Respond to safety incidents, investigate root causes, and recommend corrective actions.

Training & Communication: Educate site personnel on safety procedures and updates.

Travel: Frequently travel to different work sites as required.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional safety certifications are a plus.

2-5 years of experience in the safety, compliance, or a related field is required.

Strong understanding of OSHA and other relevant safety regulations.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and assertively enforce rules.

Willingness to travel regularly to various work locations.

Valid driver’s license.
