Service Business Driver
We are seeking a Business Development Driver for our Service Department for Indiana. This role is responsible for generating revenue growth by identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities for the company’s service offerings. This customer-facing role builds strong relationships with prospective and existing clients, uncovers service needs, develops tailored solutions, and collaborates with internal teams to deliver proposals, pricing, and execution plans.
The ideal candidate is a proactive, relationship-driven sales professional with strong business acumen, presentation skills, and the ability to manage a sales pipeline from prospecting through contract negotiation and handoff to service delivery.
Essential Responsibilities
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities for the company’s service-based offerings.
- Consistently prospect for new customers within assigned company territories.
- Develop and maintain productive relationships with prospective customers, existing clients, and key decision-makers.
- Conduct discovery conversations to understand customer needs, challenges, goals, and service requirements.
- Align customer needs with company service capabilities and develop customized solutions.
- Prepare and deliver professional presentations, proposals, pricing, and service recommendations.
- Partner with service delivery and internal operations teams to confirm solution feasibility, pricing, timelines, and implementation requirements.
- Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and service-level agreements.
- Manage business development activities, opportunities, and pipeline performance using CRM tools.
- Meet or exceed established sales, revenue, and business-growth goals.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify opportunities and refine sales strategies.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, networking functions, customer meetings, and other business-development activities.
- Meet deadlines for customer needs, proposals, follow-up activities, reporting, and administrative responsibilities.
- Provide project- and customer-related direction as needed; this position does not have direct personnel supervisory responsibility.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or GED; equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant experience will be considered.
- Four to five years of related business development, sales, account management, service sales, or industry experience.
- Experience developing proposals and negotiating contracts.
- Ability to analyze service performance data and translate findings into business opportunities.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to independently manage priorities, deadlines, customer activity, and a sales pipeline.
- Valid driver’s license.
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Five to seven years of experience in business development, service sales, account management, or a related industry.
- Experience using P21 and Salesforce or similar CRM and business-management platforms.
- Understanding of inbound and outbound marketing strategies.
- Experience working collaboratively with operations or service-delivery teams to develop customer solutions.

Work Environment and Schedule
This is a full-time position, generally working Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required based on customer needs, events, or business demands.
The role is primarily based in a standard office environment and includes regular use of a computer, phone, and typical office equipment. The position also requires travel to customer sites and other company locations during normal business hours. Overnight travel is rarely expected.
Physical Requirements
The employee must be able to communicate effectively, including regularly talking and hearing. The role may require periods of standing, walking, and mobility throughout company facilities and customer locations, as well as extended periods of sitting and working at a computer workstation. Visual requirements include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
